Your duties

Germany’s leading doctor on-demand platform is looking for a Wordpress Web Developer to join our Patient and Doctor Growth Teams. You are responsible for the front door to our platform, ensuring patients and doctors quickly find exactly what they need. Join us in establishing the most-loved digital health platform in the German healthcare system.


Mission of the role:

Website Development: Build, optimize, and maintain our WordPress-based websites (using Elementor Pro, ACF Pro) to deliver exceptional user experiences for patients and doctors.

AB-Testing: Implement, run, and analyze A/B testing experiments (using tools like AB Tasty) to improve website performance, conversion rates, and user engagement continuously.

Performance Improvements: Implement best practices such as optimizing page load speeds and performance to enhance our SEO and paid landing page effectiveness.

Technical Excellence: Write clean, maintainable code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP), and provide ongoing documentation and technical guidance.

API Integration: Integrate external data sources and APIs, manage REST API endpoints, and develop custom endpoints to meet specific requirements.

Frontend Enhancements: Utilize frontend libraries such as Swiper.js for interactive elements like sliders/carousels, and ensure responsive design across devices.

Analytics & Tracking: Set up and maintain tracking solutions (Google Tag Manager, Matomo Analytics), including client and server-side configurations.

Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automation workflows using Make.com for recurrent tasks.

Collaboration: Work closely with Growth Managers, Designers, and other cross-functional team members to translate business goals into technical solutions, ensuring alignment and swift execution of growth experiments.

Candidate Profile

WordPress Expertise: Solid experience in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites.

Frontend Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery; experience using Elementor/Elementor Pro and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF Pro).

Backend Skills: Competency with PHP and SQL; familiarity with WordPress database structure.

Integration & APIs: Experience with WPGetAPI and WordPress REST API for external data integration.

Analytics & Tagging: Familiarity with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Matomo Analytics.

A/B Testing: Practical experience setting up, running, and analyzing A/B tests to continuously optimize user experience and conversions.

Development Practices: Comfortable working with Git/GitHub, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.

Hands-on & Ownership Mentality: Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to experimentation and execution.

Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work effectively across teams, present ideas clearly, and integrate feedback.

Optional: Experience with Next.js, React (SSR/SSG), Node.js, Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, and similar technologies for potential future projects.

  • Remote first: You can work from anywhere in Europe or from countries with a maximum time difference of 2 hours to Germany.
  • Workation: Twice a year you can also work outside Europe for up to 3 weeks.
  • Employer of Record: If you work outside of Germany, you will be hired through an Employer of Record who will take care of all legal matters and payroll.
  • Co-working week: During this week, all employees come together twice a year at an inspiring location to work together, exchange ideas and simply have a good time.
