Alina´s Journey

At Teleclinic, our platform’s core strength lies in our technical processes that blend excellence with purpose. Alina, one of our Backend Engineers, shares her insights on what it’s like to work on digitalization in the healthcare sector, the value of technical ownership, and why the industry needs more female role models in strategic positions.

Code that transforms the healthcare experience

For TeleClinic, technology is a means to a greater end: making healthcare accessible to everyone. In our Backend teams, this mission serves as a daily catalyst. As Alina puts it, her work is deeply meaningful because she contributes to products that "have a real impact on how easily people can access healthcare".

A cornerstone of our engineering culture is agility. We leverage fast release cycles so our engineers can witness the value of their coding without delay. "As a developer, you can see the results of your work almost immediately and you can measure their real-world impact on users," Alina notes, highlighting why the development process at TeleClinic is so rewarding.

The journey to technical mastery

Growth within our team is less about the ladder and more about a continuous learning journey. Alina, who was drawn to the backend by a desire to understand "how things work behind the scenes," embodies the mindset we value at Teleclinic: the courage to tackle complex challenges.

In our Product & Tech department, we foster three key pillars that Alina has navigated throughout her career:

  • Technical accountability: The importance of having "the courage to take on tasks I wasn't entirely confident about, learning as I go”

  • Clear communication: The ability to explain technical decisions and tradeoffs, which is essential to "feeling much more secure in your role”

  • Ownership: At Teleclinic, we trust our engineers to make decisions and actively contribute to high-level technical discussions.

While technical mastery is a personal win, its impact stretches far beyond a single line of code. It creates a blueprint for others to follow.

Breaking barriers: the power of female visibility

For Teleclinic, diversity is proof that talent has no labels and that "everyone can belong in tech", as Alina says. We strive to be a place where talent is empowered to think responsibly and design solutions with a long-term impact.

As a company, we recognize that diversity doesn't just enrich our solutions, but it is vital for the future of the tech industry. Alina reflects on the relevance of representation: "It is important to see women in technical and leadership positions because it encourages the next generation to imagine themselves in similar roles".

An invitation to tomorrow´s talent

Alina’s career serves as a powerful message to any woman considering a move into tech: "You don't have to have all the answers from day one to belong in this field," she emphasizes.

Engineering is a journey of constant evolution. As Alina concludes, the concept of being "good enough" shouldn't even exist: "If you're interested and feel this is something you want to pursue, the best thing is simply to give it a try".
